This past weekend, Friends of Wharfedale Greenway had the privilege of attending our first event of the year—and what an inspiring day it was! The energy, enthusiasm, and engagement we experienced reaffirmed the importance of our mission: to create a beautiful, accessible Greenway across the Wharfe Valley, connecting communities while promoting sustainable travel.
Conversations That Matter
From the moment we set up, we were met with genuine curiosity and excitement from visitors eager to learn more about our vision. We spoke with people from all walks of life—cyclists, walkers, local families —each of them offering valuable insights, encouragement, and ideas for making the Greenway a reality. It was fantastic to hear first hand how much support exists for the project, with many stepping forward to volunteer their time, skills, and expertise.
